Our mission is to give the residents of Gary, Indiana an opportunity to express their concerns; and to come together in a positive way. We want to start positive changes to a community plagued by blight, and an administration that is taking a path not in alignment with its residents. As residents, we cannot work alone as we have humongous challenges on our plates. Look at it this way: Think of one person trying to eat an elephant alone. It can’t be done. On the other hand, if others joined in, and helped, then they would be able to chip away to consume the elephant. Before you know it, the elephant has been eaten collectively. Another way to say it is together we can stand, and be instrumental in getting solutions and changes. In ending, there is one thing we all have in common. WE ARE GARY RESIDENTS, AND WE DESERVE THE BEST!

OUR COMMUNITY
As Gary residents, we have a lot on our plate. We are faced with a blighted city, with over 20,000 blighted and dilapidated buildings, and/or homes. Not to mention an administration in chaos. No thought is given to what we as taxpayers, voters and/or citizens want or don't want. This predominately black administration, over a predominately black community has mimicked a white racist supremacy. In doing this they have conducted business as if the black folks don't matter. Well, it is time for the citizens of Gary to come together, and stand up as one for change, and show them we do. You know, no one can eat an elephant all by themselves. It is just too big for one person. However, if we pull together, and take bites out of this elephant little by little; we can eat this elephant. Black skin does not mean Black kin. By: Versie C. Seeing is believing. ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES AND ESPECIALLY IN GARY, OUR COMMUNITY DEMISE BEGAN WITH WHITE FLIGHT. WE REALLY NEED TO START RETHINKING OUR COMMUNITIES ECONOMY, AND BEGAN TO BUILD A BLACK ECONOMY SO OUR COMMUNITIES WILL NOT CONTINUE TO GO INTO RUINS WHEN BLACKS MOVE IN, AND WHITES LEAVE.
